Solana Releases Layer 2 Network Discovery and Mapping

Solana Networks, a leading provider of network monitoring solutions, announces support for network discovery and mapping of Layer 2 IP networks. Release 1.6 of its FalconView product, scheduled for release in April will support discovery of Layer 2 IP networks including sub-topologies such as VLAN topologies and STP topologies. It will also include monitoring of network status, bandwidth monitoring such as MRTG-like support and network uptime reporting.

Solana Networks support for Layer 2 network discovery and mapping is vendor-agnostic and supports a range of heterogeneous Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches including devices from vendors such as Cisco, 3Com, Avaya and HP.
