Solana Networks presents at PST (Privacy, Security, Trust) 2010 Conference

Solana Networks CTO Dr Biswajit Nandy delivered a presentation at the Eighth Annual Conference on Privacy, Security and Trust (PST 2010) held in Ottawa on August 17 & 18, 2010. Dr Nandy’s presented a paper entitled “Security Advances and Challenges in 4G Wireless Networks” which he had co-written with Solana colleagues Rupinder Makkar and Nabil Seddigh as well as Jean-Francois Beaumont of Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC). The paper covers LTE and WiMAX 4G wireless technologies and identifies security challenges that such IP-based wireless networks will be susceptible to.

This is the 8th year that the PST conference is being hosted in Canada. This year, keynote presenters at the conference included Sir Terry Matthews, Chairman of Wesley Clover, who spoke on “The Hard Problems in Public Safety and Security” and Luc Beaudoin, Chief of Cyber Operations, Canadian Cyber Incident Response Centre (CCIRC) who spoke on “Cyber Security for Major Events”.
