2nd Internet Public Alerting System (IPAS) Field Trials held successfully!

Solana Networks together with Sombra Labs executed the second round of field trials for IPAS - an innovative emergency alerting system that utilizes the Internet to send subscribers urgent messages. Field Trials were held November 9th and 10th, 2004.

Participants included the municipalities of Guelph, Brandon, Charlottetown, Sarnia and Cornwall as well as the University of Saskatchewan, Holland College, Carleton University and North Carolina State University. The trials are being carried out under an Industry Canada contract.
