Solana Networks to Present at MITACs Workshop

Solana Networks President, Nabil Seddigh will be giving a presentation at the MITACS/MASCOS Joint Workshop on Fusion, Mining and Security for Networks, being held in Montreal from June 16-20, 2008. The theme of the presentation is “Monitoring Next-Generation IP Networks”.

A new generation of best-of-breed network monitoring systems are required to monitor aspects of the network that have not typically been the focus of network management systems in the past. In order to provide end-to-end user service with the highest quality, next generation network monitoring needs to move beyond traditional SNMP-based monitoring and incorporate data from new sources including, routing protocols, QoS, Netflow and traffic engineering data sources. This presentation will review some of the exciting technology, trends and industry applications that are revolutionizing the way we manage and operate IP networks.
